My sister Suzie died unexpectedly yesterday in a most horrific way (she was 48).
My college classmate Tondra died last week, also unexpectedly and horribly (she was 35). I lost Jenna at the end of September (she was 14). I lost Daddy in March (he was 82).
I am having a hard time keeping sane at this particular moment in time.

I found your blog via your MetaFilter profile. I am so sorry about the loss of your sister, particularly when compounded with all of loss you've experienced this year. I hope that my commenting on your blog doesn't spook you.
As many others have said in response to your AskMe question, you are indeed in shock and the desire to run away is completely normal, even expected, under the circumstances. I am also a Christian and I know that it may seem like God has lost his grip on what's going on in your life or that he's forsaken you, but rest assured that he's still on his throne. Psalm 121 tells us that he never sleeps, nor does he slumber. Rest in the promise that he will never leave you or forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5)
