Today I went out to tackle W5d3 again. 20 minute run. I told myself it is acceptable to reach this session goal in mini-milestones. Perhaps 15 minutes today, 17 minutes next time, etc. How far did I get? 11 sad minutes. My legs felt like lead, my mouth was a dry cotton ball and my sweat actually stung my skin and eyes it was so concentrated. Dehydration – ugh. I cried all the way home in frustration. My cardio system was ready for this run, my mind was ready for this run, but my major muscles were not due to lack of proper care via hydration.
